Notes

Here are a few tips to make your Gyu Kaku Garlic Noodles perfect:

  • Use Fresh Garlic: Fresh garlic gives the best flavor. Don’t use pre-minced garlic for this recipe.
  • Pick the Right Noodles: Use ramen, udon, or even spaghetti. Fresh ramen works best, but any noodles will do.
  • Balance the Sauce: The soy sauce can be salty, so taste as you go. You can always add more, but it’s hard to fix an overly salty dish.
  • Add Protein or Vegetables: You can add chicken, shrimp, or even mushrooms. Stir-fry them before adding them to the noodles for extra flavor.
  • Don’t Overcook the Noodles: Cook the noodles until al dente. They will continue cooking slightly when mixed with the sauce.
