Notes

Making Ube Polvoron is straightforward, but here are some tips to help you achieve the best results:

  • Toast the Flour: To get the best flavor, be sure to toast the all-purpose flour until it turns a light golden brown. This enhances the nutty flavor and adds depth to the polvoron.
  • Use Good Quality Ube: If you can find fresh ube, that’s fantastic! If not, you can use ube extract or ube powder. Just make sure it’s a good quality product for the best taste.
  • Let It Cool: After mixing your ingredients, let the dough cool slightly before shaping it into molds. This helps the polvoron hold its shape better.
  • Press Firmly: When packing the mixture into your molds, press down firmly. This ensures that the polvoron holds together when you remove it from the molds.
  • Wrap It Up: Ube Polvoron is best stored in an airtight container. You can also wrap individual pieces in colorful paper to make them look festive!
